Attribute changer 6.10a is a program from petges.lu, and you can find the download here. This Attribute Changer allows you to change your single or multiple files and folder into read-only, hidden, System, Archieve, Compress, Index as well as file/folder dates. There is a nice filter option if you want to change some files according to its date, size or other attributes, you can use "filter" option.

This Program has integrated button at right click in Windows explorer. This Attribute Changer interface can be found by clicking on Change Attributes at Windows Explorer Right Click.

There are 4 main tab on Attribute Changer interface, File Properties, Reporting, Setting and About. The First tab make you can change your files and folder easily as I’ve said above. There also an “Advance” option to filter your choice.

As you can see, there are some option at left tab : screen, HotKeys, Video, Audio, and Notes. At screen tab, you can choose your capture screen area, you can choose "rectangle" mode to use only some part from your monitor, or "Window" mode, to capture all of your screen activity.

Then, move to HotKeys. This is the easy-use thing, you can use F3 (in default) to start and stop your capturing, or F4 to pause and F5 to set an interval. And of course you can change it into whatever key you want.

This VirtuosoScreen is also has a timer to set when you want to start and stop capturing. By Default, ScreenVirtuoso save captured movie at "My Documents", so don't get panic when you can't find your captured movie. :)

Here i have a small program called "USBDeview" or in other word, it is a program to see your USB history activity, like printer, mouse, keyboard and flashdrive. xplorer2 - Windows Explorer Alternative

Do you feel bored with your windows explorer? or you wanna some changes? i introduce to you "xplorer2" (hey, where is the applause?? :D)

This is a small program, has a better view and better work for your windows, created by zabkat.com. This is the answers if you like to organize your files so much, because xplorer2 has a great views.. you will see it later.

First, download this trial program from http://zabkat.com/x2down.htm. If you feel you like this program, just buy its full version (don't crack it :P). And then install the program, there is a step at installation you will see like picture below:

Just check in red box to open all your system in xplorer2, and click next and next until installation finish.

As you can see, there are two main xplorer2 coloums (in standart Windows Explorer, there are just one coloum), and this is what i called with "great views". You can see the different folder or drive in the same time. You don't need to open another windows explorer when you want to copy, move, or even compare two things at the same time.. just drag and drop! isn't that amazing???.

CProcess, Alternative From Task Manager

CurrProcess is a tiny program created by Nirsoft for Microsoft Windows OS.

This utility displays the list of all processes currently running on your system. For each process, you can view the list of all modules (DLL files) that the process loads into memory. for all processes and modules, additional useful information is also displayed: product name, version, company name, description of the file, the size of the file, and more. In addition, CurrProcess allows you to do the following actions:

• Change the priority of a process.
• Kill a process.
• Dump memory of process into a text file.
• Create HTML report containing information about a process with the list of all modules that it loads into memory.

Using The CurrProcess Utility

This utility is a standalone executable, so it doesn't require any installation process or additional DLLs. Just run the executable (cprocess.exe) and start using it. There is only one exception: If you want to run this utility on Windows NT, you should download the 'psapi.dll', and copy it into the system32 folder.

The main window of CurrProcess utility contains 2 panes:

• The upper pane displays the list of all processes currently running on your system. The list is automatically updated when a new process is loaded or an existing process is terminated.
• When you select a single process in the upper pane, the lower pane displays the list of all modules that the selected process loaded into memory. By default, the modules list of a process is not automatically updated when a module is loaded or unloaded from memory. If you want to automatically update the modules pane of the selected process, select the 'Automatic Refresh' option under the Module menu. Be aware that this option consumes more CPU resources.

In both panes, you can change the order of the columns by dragging them to the desired position, or by using the 'Choose Columns' dialog-box.

Disabling Windows XP's Services

You can make your computer start more faster, run more faster and more stable. By default, Windows run some services automatically when you start your computer, and i'm sure you don't need all of that Windows services and you may don't even know what are they used for... :)

Well, i will show you how to disabling some Windows services that i think it's less important, and of course i have a reason why some services isn't much important.

Sometimes, you can also stop some Windows service by delete its start up in regcleaner.

Firstly, Click Start - Run, and type "services.msc" (without quotes of course). You will see exactly the same with picture below:

1. Find "Automatic Updates" in name, this service is to "enables the download and installation of windows updates. If this services is disabled, this computer will not be able yo use the Automatic Update feature or the Windows Update Web site". If you think you completly satisfied with your Windows now, just double click it, stop it, and set Disabled in startup type.
2. Find "Computer Browser", this service is to : "maintains an updated list of computers on the network and supplies this list to computer designated as browsers. If this service is stoppde, this list will not be updated or maintained. If this service is disabled, any services that explicitly depend on it will fail to start". If your computer wasn't designed for a network, like notebooks or computer in your house, you don't need this services. Just stop and disabled this services.
3. Scroll down, and select "Help And Support". This service is to run Help And Support in almost all Windows program, if you disabled this service, you cannot run any Help tools, even in your MS Office. and I advice to expert user to disabled this service.
4. System Restore Service. I'm not recomended this service to stop or disabled, but I prefer to disabled this system restore service to minimize windows files in my hard drive. You can also disabled this service by right click My Computer - Properties - in System Restore tab, and check Turn off system restore on all drives.
5. and last is "Wireless Zero Configuration". This service used to provides automatic configuration for the 802.11 (WiFi) adapters. I recomended to stop and disabled this service for PC without WiFi adapters, and I don't recomended this service to stop and disabled for Notebooks, you will need this to connect to near HotSpot

How To Check Your Memory?

If you wondered how to make sure you RAM (Memory) is OK? well, actually there is some ways to check it out. But firstly, if you found your computer sometimes shows "the Blue Screen Of Death (BSoD)" and Errors like PFN_LIST_CORRUPT and PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA and so on including include system stalls, reboots, and weird PC behavior are the signs of bad RAM.

It might be a little difficult or the average user, but it isn’t a bad way to check RAM. It is a useful tool, this app runs tests on your RAM, checking it out for errors.

Once you have the latest version of Memtest86, then make a diagnostic disk make it bootable, then boot from it. The cool thing about it is that it loads before the PC loads Windows drivers and such. Hence, No BSod! As Memtest86 run and diagnoses your PC, any suggestion or fixes it comes with would give a clear idea if you have bad or good RAM.

Re-Install your Windows :p

It might be a very dificult things to do, but it's so accurated. When you installing your windows, you will see a blue screen with a yellow bar move on as an indicator for copying windows files. If you sure your CD and your CD-ROM is in a good time, then the yellow bar is stopped in the middle of copying process and it says " "cannot copy ......", it's mean your memory has an error in his addresses when copying your windows file.. then, just buy another memory :)
